• A:Answer A black frame is an optional extra purchase. The frame of the television itself is a dark charcoal. Although not responsive to your question, this television is fantastic. Instead of a black rectangle sitting above a fireplace I get the look at artwork.

• A:Answer No, the TV should include a special "no gap" wall mount that allows you to mount the TV completely flush (assuming the wall or surface on which the TV is mounted is completely flat). The mount includes a component that bolts to the TV and another component that bolts to the wall.

• A:Answer I don't think so, the way the TV hangs on the wall makes sure it's in the landscape position. Essentially it's a bracket that you attach to the wall and then the TV hangs and locks in so that it's flush with the wall.

• A:Answer The TV (QN43LS03RAFXZA) has two mounting options. You may either use the feet included to set it on a flat surface or you may use the included wall mount. Mounting the TV on the mantle using the included feet could be done, as long as the mantle is wide enough. The specifications list the stand as being 7.9 inches. The other challenge will be placing the TV control box. In order to make the TV more of a picture frame, Samsung moved much of the technology, connections, and intelligence into a separate box that connects to the TV with a thin cable. The specifications list this box as being 15.4" x 2.6" x 5.1". You would need to allow space for any cables that need to plug into the control box.

• A:Answer No, the mount is for landscape because thats how all movies are formatted in 16:9. It is a limitation for some artwork that looks better displayed in portrait mode. You end up with black areas at the sides of the art.
