I was just recently discussing that very issue with a friend. I believe that these machines only rinse cold. One way to find out for certain would be to pause at the point that it starts to fill with rinse water on any given cycle, open it up and feel the water temp, or turn off the cold water valve and see if it stops the water flow. I have not been able to find data on this subject, but I'm pretty certain that it's part of the "forced conservation" that so many companies engage in.
