I am including a link to support your concerns on canning on the cooktop (https://bit.ly/31L8xNY). Thank you for choosing Samsung! ^Lena
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The best way to clean any glass/ceramic cooktop is to use "Bar Keepers Friend". It is a cleaning agent powder typically used for stainless steel. Add water to clean it in a circular pattern with a non-scratching sponge. It does not scratch the surface and removes all baked on "this and that". It will look like new if you use the fore-mentioned product over what I am assuming you mean by steam cleaning. I've been in the kitchen and bath industry for several decades. Please keep in mind that over time some glass cooktops will take on either a mini-bubble look around the edge of the burner circle or a white film (that is permanent and you may be able to replace the glass top). We get what we pay for. Hope that helps. The best way to avoid the bubbles and white film is not to cook with grease. Bake your burgers, fries, etc. The oven is far more forgivable and hidden. It will help you maintain the looks of your ceramic glass for years to come.
