The two high wattage dual element burners for doing what you want are positioned in the front of the stove. I would hope you have a vented range hood that pulls the hot steamy air from the stove and vents it via a fan through a vent to the outside. If you don't have one, it would be a worthwhile investment. Do not get the ones that just recirculate the air,.It does not get rid of the steam.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The control board sits inside the oven facing back. The digital display is connected to the back of the control board (part of it). I have not had any problems, but then I am a light cook. The touchpad in the front is covered with glass. I don't think the steam could penetrate that glass and metal body around it.
