Benson - UHD is short for 'ultra high definition', which usually refers to all TVs with a 4K resolution. QLED TVs use Quantum Dot technology which provides you with 100% Color Volume with over one billion shades of pure accurate color, as well as detail at any level of luminance. Samsung’s OLED TV uses self-lit pixels which allow the TV to control the colors of individual pixels to create life-like colors. It also allows the TV to turn individual pixels on and off to create deep blacks for incredible contrast when viewing HDR content. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can’t explain to you what each of these idioms mean but I do know that OLED is the most recent in viewing technology and therefore the TVs with OLED are more expensive. UHD would be like the ‘oldest’ per say but the TV in my bedroom is UHD and the picture clarity is sharp. That TV is only one yr old. Technology is changing and evolving every minute. We can’t keep up. It’s becoming too costly.
