Quite honestly this tv is just amazing. I remember the effect you mention and this tv has none of that. It has a fast refresh rate, excellent clarity, and color. We've been watching all types of programming and playing games of it since we got and it performs wonderfully.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just purchased Samsung Q60R, currently streaming football game and not very pleased with the motion blur. I’ve messed around with the settings but it hasn’t made a difference. Might return for an LG

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I put in extensive research when buying a new tv. It is hard to find a native 120Hz tv which is a necessity for watching sports; football specifically. I was very excited to read reviews from multiple sources including RTings.com which gives you calibration settings to use. Unfortunately none give calibration for sports yet say there is no motion blur with the appropriate settings and tweaking. I have spent the day trying to get rid of the halo blur around the players. It isn’t possible. The tv acts like a 60Hz or less tv when watching sports. I am so very disappointed and heartbroken that this tv is a garbage product. Also tried movies: Avatar, Avengers End Game, Onward, etc and the picture is choppy at best. I hear it’s good for gaming but that’s not what I bought the tv for. Don’t waste your money or effort and look elsewhere.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can fine tune the motion blur on this TV, called Motion Plus in settings. Best setting for me is Auto Motion Plus: Custom: Blur reduction 10, Judder reduction 3, Clear motion off. The higher the Judder reduction, the more soap opera effect.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not seen any motion-blur on the QLED TV. The picture is fantastic.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have only had this set a short time but I watch sports and I have not noticed it yet.
