I noticed no heat coming from the connect one box whatsoever. I have mine place inside a cabinet with very little ventilation and I checked it for you and it was cool to the touch.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi Mike, To be on the safe side, you should always have air circulation around anything that has circuits in it. If that's a problem, then put the box on something that will allow the air to circulate around it. Hope this helps. Chuck
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Our box frequently overheats and causes the image/sound to go out of sync. It’s frying to the touch. Need to install fans or at least ventilation holes in the semi half confined 40x35x60 IKEA bestä cabinet
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The printed User Manual that comes with the TV states: "Maintain a distance of 4 inches between the TV and One Connect with other objects (walls, cabinet sides, etc.) to ensure proper ventilation." My One Connect box runs quite cool (around 100 degrees after running for several hours), so I think that Samsung is being overly cautious with their 4" recommendation.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It does get pretty warm, as long as the back of it can get some air flow it should be totally fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your question doesn't clarify what you mean by confined area! Ours is positioned behind the TV attached to the wall so it's not visible. While somewhat confined it does airspace other than the side that's attached to the wall. I don't know if that helps with your particular situation but we have no trouble or problems with the connect box all the while having access should we need it.
