Hi! The two technologies are very similar and work together to help provide a smooth natural image. Motion rate refers to additional processing done by your TV to improve the motion further than what the native refresh rate provides. ^Tim

Where in the MOTION RATE is the end product from image movement . I mean how fast the tv can CLEARLY DISPLAY A FAST MOVING OBJECT.
