You can but you have to have the picture formatted in 16:9 at very high resolution in order for it to be viewed without the mat. Unfortunately, this TV, the 2020 version, only allows for 500 MB of space for personal pictures, while the 2019 allows for 4 GB. It’s a terrible thing that Samsung did because they wanted buyers to invest in their Art Store. Samsung said they’re working on a fix but I doubt that.

To get your image to not have the matte the image itself has to be 3840 pixels wide by 2160 pixels high. Many different apps exist to adjust the pixel dimensions of an image. When you upload your image to the Smart Things app and then select it to be the Frame TV’s art piece you’ll notice the option for No Matte appears.

Please try again later. To even call out the Samsung rep on this one it is a little more complicated than it sounds, on my 2021 65" and from my reading may others, the image must be set to 16:9 ratio and 3940x2160 or it will still use a mat since "no mat" is not a option just auto and mat. I had my images at 16:9 still used a uniform mat not till I forced both did it work
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thank you. 3840 x 2160 was the answer. I clicked on my photo in windows 10 and whatever program opened offered resize. I had to unlink the width and length, but this worked perfectly. I created my own mat using Powerpoint and picked up a color in the painting (unique to each painting in my set) to use in my own mat and saved the file as a .jpg
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello Tom75, Yes, the art mode will allow you to customize how you display your photos, full frame with out the white mat is an option called "no mat". ^Cristian
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.you have to go to picture and choose custom instead of 16:9 only then it gives you the option to have no mat
