Hi Patti. Glad you asked about the washer's size of a drain pan. A drip pan, also known as a drain pan, is required when the washing machine is not installed on the ground floor of your home. We recommend low-profile drip pans for front-load washing machines because they allow access to the pump filter (which requires routine cleaning). Certain models (such as the WA54R7200 series) may require the drip pan's bulge to be less than 5/8 inches. You can find drip pans on Amazon. Please see the list below for the dimensions of our current models. 27 inches (D) x 24 inches (W) 32 inches (D) x 27 inches (W) 33 inches (D) x 27 inches (W) 34 inches (D) x 30 inches (W) Thank you for being a valued customer of Samsung. Have a great day. ^Camille
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From my previous homes it seems like 2" wider and the deeper the better. If your floor has a drain under the washer you'd need a sloped pan to direct water to the middle. Those types of pans have a plug in the middle you just pop out. And I say a deep pan because some homes have the laundry on the 2nd floor. If you get an overflow that deep pan will keep you from having an indoor rain storm in your kitchen or living room! Quick tip - get the best hoses you can and periodically check them all including the dain, the rubber washer in them etc. Turn off your water before a vacy, unplug etc.
