You can look everywhere and honestly there is no difference performance wise. Only thing it is missing is bluetooth and has a standard remote instead of the smart remote
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Despite some answers suggesting it is not an HDR TV, the Samsung website says otherwise. http://www.samsung.com/us/televisions-home-theater/tvs/4k-uhd-tvs/65-class-ku6290-6-series-4k-uhd-tv-2016-model-un65ku6290fxza/
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Samsung removes some features like a better remote and possibly has less connections on the back of this TV compared to the KU6300. You may also lose some picture quality in regards to motion interpolation (not being able to activate the soap opera effect if you like that). Here are some hard facts though: - Both panels are 60hz (aka Motion Rate 120 nonsense) - Both panel can not play HDR. Both can recognize the signal from HDR which is why you can hookup a 4k HDR bluray player to the TV. The TVs just don't have the technology to display the added brightness and colors however. If you are looking for a TV that can do HDR the first Samsung that properly can is the KS8000 (Samsung's SUHD series). Long story short, you get slightly better performance with the KU6300 and easier control with the new remote.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This unit has HDR premium. The one person is wrong. Look at Samsumg's website for details.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A Samsung chat rep said the only difference is the remote which adds up to a $200 price difference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The only difference I could find on the Samsung site was the remote control. All other specs were exact. I think this is a special promotional set for BB's 50th Anniv but don't quote me on it. I just got it and am stunned at the picture quality.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Actually I just got this exact tv and it came WITH the smart remote. So the only difference I can tell is that it does not have Bluetooth.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just bought one of these and it came with the Smart Remote HOWEVER after a short chat with tech support they confirmed the Smart Remote cannot be used to control the cable box - like it says it should in all the manuals. I'm returning the unit.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Actually that is not true. Neither tv has HDR. Both are 4K or UHD, whatever you prefer to call it. The only deference is the actual material each tv is comprised of. The 4290 is made of much lower quality material. Cheaper screen, cheaper plastic, it's not as thin (slightly), and the guts of the tv are of lower quality. I spoke with Samsung personnel, they told me it was made to meet a certain price point; and the 6300 is a superior quality tv. In my opinion it is worth the extra $250-$300. I couldn't be happier with my 6300.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is a big difference with this one (non HDR) VS the 6300. The 6300 is a 4K UHD with HDR. HDR = High Dynamic Range. Look it up it is definitely worth it for now and more importantly the future.
