“Connecting my CD Player directly into the TV I have a CD player that I used to run through a receiver. I was told by the salesperson that I should be able to run the CD player directly into the TV (without a receiver) to play the music through the TV speakers.. However, I'm having problems figuring out how to make it work. I called Samsung, and they agreed "in theory" I should be able to connect the Red & White RCA cables from the back of my CD Player to the Red & White IN Audio ports in the back of the TV, but it's not working. Does anyone know how to connect the RCA outputs into this TV?”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on the CD player you're using, and what outputs are available. You could easily use an RCA to AUX cable. Plug the AUX end into the headphone port on the CD player and the RCA ends to the "audio in" ports on the tv. Or if you have a dvd/ bluray player, almost any model should support an audio cd.

You will need a video and audio signal for the inputs on the television in order for that input to be activated. You can play a CD with a Samsung Blu-Ray player (which support Blu-Ray discs, DVD discs and CD audio discs), but a stand-alone audio player needs either a video source, or a receiver. Sorry you were given bad information, but the televisions need a video signal. Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr. S
