A:AnswerThe Sony is better in nearly every way except for gaming. The input lag on the Sony is (in my opinion) unacceptable for gaming and these 2018 Samsungs seem to be the only tv on the market, to date, with VRR (variable refresh rate), also known as Freesync, that, when paired with an Xbox One X, make for what is undoubtedly the finest console/TV gaming experience money can buy at this time. If you don't play games or couldn't be satisfied with a -8% visual fidelity display for -33% the price, go with the Sony. Otherwise, this was an ultra solid buy for my at $997 and I recommend it.
A:AnswerI would check to make sure there is nothing in the screw holes and the base is aligned properly when the tv is not connected into the base. Also, is your stand level on it's own? Is the cabinet you are placing the TV rated to hold the weight of that TV?
A:AnswerYes! We live in a pretty rural area. Our old TV received only 2 of the 3 major networks and very few of the lesser available over the air channels. When we connected this tv using the same antenna and connections we received every available over the air channel including Ion, PBS (multiple channels of PBS) etc. it is quite astounding!
A:AnswerI am in my 50's so perhaps I can't say; but I would think so. I viewed comparable models in the store and noticed a difference between this model and SONY 800/900F and LGSK9000. Best bet is to go to the store and check them out for yourself. With that said, once you pick one and get it home you will not be comparing tvs much so I'm sure any tiny differences will not be noticed.
A:AnswerThe 8500 model uses smart technology so all inputs go directly into the TV. The controller is really small and has limited buttons. There are a few options when it comes to changing channels. There is a toggle switch for channel up/down and if you press it in, it will open up the guide. Using the voice control technology, you can just hold the Mic button and say the channel/station/device you want to switch to. For example, if I’m watching TV, I can just say “Playstation” and it will switch over to my PS4.
A:AnswerThe NU8000 is the newest and only one more Samsung TV that's better and that's the Samsung QLED series the NU8000 TV's it's a beautiful TV I have a 65" in my bedroom it's great for gaming has a BEAUTIFUL PICTURE!!!!
A:AnswerNo, the stand is not adjustable up or down. It comes in two pieces and is put together with 4 screws and is mounted to the tv with 4 screws.
It is fixed in placed; if you need to adjust the height, it will be necessary to either wall mount or build a box sturdy and large enough to support
the weight of the tv safely.
