Hi there! Edge lighting ensures the entire screen can be filled with light, and it also keeps light from going into areas of certain scenes that are supposed to be dark. Full array is direct-lit panel with local dimming for greater contrast. Dual LED technology allows the TV to more accurately balance color and brightness than conventional Edge Lighting arrangements. Samsung TVs with Dual LED also produce a wider viewing angle, making it better for everybody watching. ^Gina
