If it is worth it is entirely up to you. There are some differences that in my opinion are worth the extra 300 bucks. Edge lit vs Full Array Backlit. No local dimming on the Q60 vs Local dimming for better Contrast on the Q70. Faster processor, I saw both TV's side by side set up the same and there is definitely a huge difference in color saturation and better contrast.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For anyone who can't decide I just went to two stores to see them side by side and in every case the Q70 is much better looking than the Q60. I went in planning to get the Q60 and ended up buying the Q70. The Q70: - Brighter - Much higher contrast - Better color - Better viewing angles - Higher quality stand materials. The Q80 has better blacks and viewing angles, but it's a much closer fight between the Q70 and Q80. If the Q70 or better is not in the budget go look at the RU8000 it's a great value. Just about any new TV these days will impress when you get it home. There's a lot of good choices out there for everyone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We compared the Q60 and Q70 in the store and online before. The Q70 has a much better backlight system, and to us appear to have a much better picture when side by side with the Q60 (because of better HDR support). It also has twice the wattage for audio output. I was thinking about getting a sound bar until we actually hung the tv on the wall, and the sound is quite impressive. Personally, I would highly recommend the Q70 over the Q60.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Don’t buy the Q60. The quality increase in the Q70 is substantial. If you want to spend less the RU8000 has a better picture with deeper blacks than the Q60 and it cost less.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No doubt about it. For the extra $$ the Q70 is a way better option. I also saw the side by side in the store and I am glad I did.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Q70 is worth the extra money . You won’t regret it .
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Very much worth is. If you read the reviews out there, the difference between Q60 and Q60 is substantial, it's the Q70 vs Q80 that really is only darker blacks and that's about it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I took your recommendations from this forum and returned the Q60 before I opened it, and upgraded to the Q70. For $100, this is a no-brainer. Thanks all!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I went to look at tvs and ended up with the Q60. Went home slept on it....did research on Q70 and went back to the store to change my purchase. Not only is it a better but it was also on sale. There was only $100 difference. Definitely worth the upgrade.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I faced this same choice when it was my time I researched so much my family & friends laughed at me it took me so long Every review I read regarding this said YES. So I did. And I dont look back. The Q70 is the best TV I've ever had. The picture is mind blowing. And those that laughed at me...now they are just like deer in headlights when it's on trying to figure out a way to be able to stay and watch lol
