Q: QuestionDoes this have hdmi 2.1?

• A:Answer I purchased the QN65Q900RB in 2019 from Best Buy and it was installed 11/29/2019. Best Buy told me Samsung would offer a replacement box which included 1 Hdmi 2.1 port in the one connect box. So it would be 4 Hdmi ports total with only 1 of them having support for Hdmi 2.1. If called Samsung several times and searched all over the internet and all I found was this... 1. Samsung had no idea what I was talking about when I called their support a couple times. I was even transferred to different people a few times until I got to someone who they thought would know. 2. I’ve read on different forums of people claiming to get the box and receive the Hdmi 2.1 upgrade on port number 4 on the one connect box. My conclusion is this, don’t buy the TV with the promise of an upgrade from Samsung. No matter what they say. I would go as far as to suggest to make them put it in writing but then you would have to sue them to get them to honor it because they just won’t. DO NOT BUY A TV UNLESS YOU SEE FROM THE MANUFACTURES WEBSITE THAT IT HAS HDMI 2.1. Manufactures will claim it has Hdmi 2.1 in their displays when they do shows such as CES but when you search the information on the specific model on their website they leave out completely what HDMI spec that model has. They don’t simply forget to put it in there, they choose to omit it all together on purpose because they would rather people make the mistake of purchasing their product on rumors started on the internet so they can not be held liable for the misinformation. If it has HDMI 2.1 they will make sure to go out of their way to let you know. If they have to ask or just tell you it does but you don’t see it in writing, DONT TRUST THEM. The Xbox series-X is about to come out and I’m stuck with the Q900R on a broken promise with nothing I can do about it.

Q: Questionhow far are the stand legs from the edges, how deep are they, and how far do they stick out from the front of tv need to know if it will fit on my tv stand thinking of purchasing BDI Cavo stand

• A:Answer There are 2 mounting locations for the legs on the Q900, one set in the middle of the unit where the legs would be 18" apart, and the outer position that would have the legs 50' apart. Viewing the picture, I am using the outer mounting locations. From the picture you also can see the One Connect box in the background behind the screen. The location of the middle legs would be 1" to each side of the One Connect box as shown in the picture. The legs extend 5" in front, and 7" to the back.

Q: QuestionWhy but this if direct TV or cable hasnt even upgraded to 8k.. they only have a few channels in 4k. Sure you can by a 4k DVD player. But most people watch TV. .

• A:Answer There is no heat from the TV. Picture quality is awesome. We got the 65" TV. Regarding volume reduction during commercials, we do not have that function. Sound is awesome, but we had a SONOS sound bar installed, rear speakers, and subwoofer. The TV is installed in our sunroom, which is on the southwest portion of our house and gets plenty of sun. The sunlight doesn't affect the TV. We haven't used much of the other features of the TV yet. We just like to watch TV, live and recorded. Will post more as we use the other smart features. Sound is really incredible. Scares the dogs sometimes, as I like the volume high to get the full effect of the system.

• A:Answer There is a noticeable difference in the picture quality. This 8K TV has 33,177,600 pixels versus 8,294,400 for a 4K TV. This allows for a much sharper picture, expecially noticeable in the edges of text, etc. Further, this model had the maximum number of back lighting zones that Samsung TVs provide, thus giving the same blacker blacks as the highest end Samsung 4K model. The TV upscales everything to 8K for display regardless of the resolution of the source material, and this TV does a fantastic job in the upscaling. Because of the pixel count and this upscaling, all content is crisper and clearer. This model is the flagship model for the entire Samsung line.
