That is correct. That is what we had to do. If you are mounting on a wall, you will need to cut in the drywall and mount a black box between the studs. The black box should be the depth of the studs and fit between the studs. The One Connect box ( and anything else - like a cable TV box or Apple TV , etc )!goes into the black box. There are You Tube videos on this topic.
Sorry, there was a problem. No "black box" needed. Correct assumption?

If you are intending to conceal all of the wires you will need either an "In wall media box" or you will need to purchase an "in wall rated one-connect cable" as the cable that comes with the TV is not rated for in wall use and cannot be concealed while also meeting code.

The One Connect Box allows you to connect your cable or satellite box or video game system to your TV without having any unsightly wires dangling from the TV. Your TV is connected to the One Connect Box with the One Invisible Connection – a translucent cable allowing you to place your TV accessories wherever works best for you. ~ Samsung Specialist
