The Samsung sound bar does not have apple airplay 2. However, my Samsung TV (new model) does. When I play music from my iPhone or Mac to the Samsung TV by airplay, the sound does come out of the soundbar but your TV (or some other source) needs to have the airplay

Please try again later.I was told by Apple tech support that if the soundbar does not support Apple AirPlay, the sound will not pass from the TV to the soundbar if you use the apple airplay on the TV. It will play from the TV speakers only. Samsung representative who answered this question - can you confirm that? I also want a soundbar with apple airplay as I need to get music from my MAC to my soundbar and the distance is too far for bluetooth to work here. There are so many soundbar EARC connection and syncing issues with Samsung TV's out there that I would like to stick with a Samsung soundbar but I need Apple Airplay to work.

If you would like to utilize Airplay 2 for music streaming, you can connect your Apple device to the Q90 TV through Airplay 2, then play the audio from the TV through the soundbar. ^Tim
