QuestionMy dryer is brand new and already having issues. Why is it going from normal or bedding time of 1:15 or 1:20 to 1 minute?

- Answer I can't solve your problem, but can add my similar problem. My Samsung dryer(on normal 40 minute setting)runs for about 2 minutes, then jumps to 1 minute and shuts off after that minute! It is not even 2 years old!!!! I'm almost 80 yrs old and recently sold my family home to move into a smaller, 2 bedroom home. I left my 25 yr old Maytag washer/dryer with my family home, and purchased this new Samsung washer/dryer! I'm so disappointed in the new washer/ dryer by Samsung!

QuestionSpecs for Stacking Washer/DryerI am trying to determine if this washer and dryer will fit into my closet as a stacked unit. Are there any specs on width and depth as the stacked unit?

- Answer The stacked dimensions of the WF210 and DV210 laundry pair are 27" wide x 76-1/2" high x 35-1/4" deep. If the dryer is vented from the rear, you'll need to leave approximately 5" more behind the stacked units to allow room for the vent ducts. For more information on location considerations and venting requirements, please feel free to download a pdf of the User Manual from Samsung's website, which also has information on the DV-1A side/bottom venting kit. QuestionIs there a way to turn the sound off of the dryer so that it doesnt beep or "sing" when it is done?

- Answer Yes, very simple. Hold down the "Mixed Load Bell" button for about 3 seconds. It will chime and display a mute light on the front.

QuestionChime issuesI reading there is an ending chime when the clothes are finished and that this chime will not shut off unless you open the door or push a button. And it can not be disabled so it does not chime. Is this true?? Or is there a way to disable the alarm.

- Answer ALL the warnings CAN be turned off, though it can be found nowhere in the manual. There is a button on the upper right that is used to turn the Mixed Load bell on and off. If you press and HOLD the button, a "speaker disabled" symbol shows up on the panel, and kills all those annoying noises. It would be nice if this had been easy to discover.

This dryer comes ready to hook up to natural gas; if you use liquid propane (LP) gas instead, the conversion kit (LPKIT-3) is available through the Best Buy installation team. - Answer Thanks for the questions. The DV210AEW can be set up to vent out the left or right side, as well as the bottom or the back, which is the factory default set up. - Answer You would only need to purchase the reccommended dryer vent kit. This dryer has the capability of purchasing a side dryer vent (in the event that you have very little room to squeeze the dryer into).

QuestionDV210AEW is not dryingI have connected the dryer to 120V. It runs the full cycle but it doesn't dry. There is no hot air coming out of the vent either. Does it need 220V? Why does it say 120V/220V when it cannot run on 120V?

Questiondryer made a pop when i turned it oni hooked my dryer cord up and then i turned it on and it stayed on for a few minutes and then it made a pop and wont turn on any solutions to fixing it

QuestionWhat are the differences between the Samsung DV210AEW and the Samsung DV220AEW?It appears the only difference is that the DV210AEW has a stainless steel drum and the DV220AEW has a powder coated drum, is this the only difference?

- Answer In addition to the stainless steel drum, the DV220AEW also has silver-painted trim around the door so it matches the WF220 washer. The DV210 and DV220 otherwise offer the same features, cycles, options and capacity. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung

QuestionCan overhang be avoided when stacking?Is it definitely true that the dryer is required to overhang the back of the washer by 5" when stacked even though it has a shorter depth than the washer? I've checked the product manual at Samsung's website and all the info I could find about the stacking kit, and nothing else gives a hint about that seemingly major gotcha that throws off all measurement expectations. If it's true, I guess I've got to scrap my order and go back to the drawing board.

- Answer Yes, the 5" overhang for the stacked units is necessary. The brackets in the SK-5A stacking kit are designed so the dryer will sit back due to the convex shape of the front of the washer which is shallower at the top than the bottom. If the back of the units were flush, the bottom front of the dryer would overhang the top front of the washer making it impossible to fully access the controls or open the detergent drawer. QuestionHow much space is needed on the side when using the side vent kit?

- Answer There is not a specific side clearance requirement for side venting, unless your DV210 will be installed in an alcove or closet, in which case the side clearance should be at least 1". I would recommend leaving at least that much space in the interest of preventing noises caused by vibration if the dryer is in contact with surrounding surfaces or objects. Please refer to the User Manual and the DV-1A side vent kit instructions for other details and specifications. Samsung recommends having a qualified technician install the side vent kit. QuestionWhat should I use instead of dryer sheets?I was told by the sales person not to use dryer sheets because the wax on them can coat the moister sensor over time. What would you suggest I use?

- Answer Not to worry - it's fine to use dryer sheets in your DV210AEW dryer. Unlike some manufacturers, Samsung sensors will not be effected by the use of dryer sheets. Thanks for choosing Samsung! Ms. Samsung
