For me they work independently
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It doesn’t disrupt the cycle of the machines, you just won’t get the notifications from the app to your devices.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The WiFi signal is independent of the washer/dryer function. I have tested this. There is no interruption. Once wifi resumes, you can continue to control the units. There is no app control until you reconnect the unit to the WiFi, but no disruption. I have my laundry in the rear basement with my WiFi in the front living room and have no signal loss.

With or without Wi-Fi connectivity, the dryer will function as intended. To set proper expectations, this dryer does not have remote capabilities apart from Smart Care. Smart Care is a diagnostic tool if your dryer has issues. If you wish to set up Smart Care, please refer to page 53 of this model's user manual I have shared below. https://downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/UM/202108/20210802231712835/DV7000_DC68-03784S-00_EN_MES.pdf Should you need more assistance, please feel free to get back to us via the following options: 1.
