A:Answer The 14 inch spread is there for a reason, stability. Your unit can topple with only 13 inches of base support. That being said, I will beat to death the obvious by saying a wall mount is awesome, and a table below looks quite natural. If not that, consider attaching blooks to the back of the table to make it wide enough for the legs and attach a safety wire to the wall to prevent toppling. Lastly, you can try a third party stand, but make sure it is rated for your TV, and use that safety wire idea too.
