Had problems connecting laptop to the tv by hdmi. Turned this off, laptop displays fine now.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.UHD color is necessary for HDR to work. If you have a Windows computer, for example, you will see that it won't let you turn on HDR without that setting, and will tell you that your device doesn't support HDR if it's not set that way. The setting exists because older devices might not be compatible. If your device works with the setting on, it belongs on. The only reason not to use it is that you get a black screen, no signal or some other obvious problem when hooking up old devices or using an outdated HDMI cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The UHD color option is to get HDR active with watching THE content (Xbox oneS, PS4 PRO, 4k movies...) The HDR+ is to help with non HDR content like cable or regular tv content. I've noticed it helps with color banding for non HDR color as well. You can keep the UHD color option on for all inputs and it will be ok. Make sure to turn off HDR+ if you are watching something that is natively in HDR. It's only for regular stuff.
