I would choose one of the 4 presets (dynamic, standard, natural or movie). Once you find one that suits your taste, I would turn off the dynamic contrast and motion control. The factory defaults are to turn these on. The dynamic contrast made the tv appear too bright in spots at times. The motion control made baseball look like there was judder in the picture. I also turned the backlight down. Turn off the ambient mode (under eco settings). It makes the tv look dull.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Because no two TV watchers prefer the same settings, the best picture settings for the best TV experience are the picture settings that you select during set-up. Or, that you direct the Geek Squad to set for you, during set-up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are a lot of opinions on this one, but I have found them nearly unanimous in their advice to leave it off. Contrast is another where there seems some varied opinion on the best setting. I prefer to get the best blacks from my TV by bumping the black level up and turning the backlight down until you get to an acceptable black level. Sharpness should neither be set too low or too high. I set mine at one point past the middle.
