A:Answer I'm currently using a wallmount that I've had since a 2007 55" plasma. I looked up the weight of that tv. It was around 96lbs. This q90t is around 20lbs less(weight without stand. The stand is very heavy).
As long as its wide enough and you can check to make sure all the screws are still tight and the wall isn't beginning to show any signs of weakness(give the wallmount a pull, lightly, and use your best judgement), then check the weights. Most older TV's were much heavier. My wall mount isnt extremely wide. By today's standards, it's quite the opposite. Make sure to put as many screws as you can into the mount to distribute the weight evenly. 1/2" snap/flip toggles. I put 8 screws in these mounts. Not because it needs it. It could get by with 4(I do not recommend this!). For me it's about taking the pressure off the mount, and off the individual pieces of drywall. I like to spread the weight out, assuming there are 1 or less studs. 6 is sufficient, 8 is overkill. I like overkill. I hang heavy cabinets and things for a living and even if it's in 2 studs, I've seen too many people only using 4 screws. In my mind, it's insane.
Note that you will probably have to move the wall mount because this tv hangs significantly lower. The screws are close to the top of the tv so my center(height) is off by about 4-5".
