yes.. it has speeds upto 600 mbps. so you can throw any application at it , and it will run very smooth

So while I can tell you that upgrading to an SSD from a traditional platter drive (especially a 5400rpm one found in many laptops) will make your life better, it's hard to say if that would solve specific lag issues as there may be other factors in play.

An SSD will undoubtedly load games (G Mod included) much faster than an HDD, but if your other components do not meet the necessary specs, you'll still experience lag. Use "Can I Run It" to determine whether your PC can properly run G Mod first, then consider upgrading to this SSD.
