• I would use a Sata to USB adapter and then the USB end into the laptop USB port.

• Nicole, This Samsung 870 EVO SATA 2.5 SSD can be cloned with this cable USB3S2SAT3CB. Its a 3.0 USB to SATA. You need to go on Samsung site and down load the migration software, follow the directions and you will have a much faster drive. Enjoy.
