Yes, it is M keyed using PCIe x4 bus. Per this article on M.2 from Dell: https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000144170/how-to-distinguish-the-differences-between-m-2-cards it’s form factor matches the SSD labeled D in the diagrams.

Your assumption is correct according to Samsung's website. I have this nvme working perfectly with 4 PCIe lanes, but also works great limited to 2 PCIe lanes giving a around 1600 Gb/s transfer rate.
