As you know, Samsung recalled around 3 millions washer which were made and sold between 2011 until October 2016. This particular model is one of them and according to samsung and later on by bestbuy team, not only this one but any of the Samsung washers available to purchase now are not recalled even though it is the same model. they have corrected the problem and so they all are free from recall. this models have same functions as their recalled counter part except these units will not EXPLODE like others did. samsung is offering mail in rebate for customers who chose to exchange washer instead of getting it repaired and this unit will complete your laundry pair if you chose to get it exchanged instead of getting repaired, because more than likely you and most of us would have purchased matching dryer with it too. hope this helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is the new 'AA' model washer that replaces the older 'A1' and 'A2' models which were recalled. The last two characters of the model number denote the new 'AA' model versus the older ones.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.AND They are Recalling them again as of 11/2020
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had a Samsung washer recalled (wa50k8600av/a2) and opted to buy a new Samsung (wa50k8600av/aa). I bought this washer because it looked exactly like the recalled washer which matched my dryer. Samsung returned $653 of the $719 I paid for the recalled washer saying the $150 incentive to buy another Samsung was included in the $653 and that their policy is not to repay sales tax. Unfortunately this washer will not wash even a small load of towels because the tub becomes unbalanced and shuts off, no matter which cycle or setting you use. I have 7 major Samsung appliances in my home but will never purchase another one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Recommended by Samsung. I assume it does not have the problems associated with the recalled version.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's the upgrade, and is only 5.0 instead of 5.2 capacity. Has the flat-top as opposed to the raised function board on the back.
