• A few differences. For one, the matt black is painted steel that is not stainless. Refrigerator magnets will stick to the steel but not the stainless steel. Secondly, black stainless is known for being easily scratched. And the panels are not replaceable on the black stainless. That said, it does sort-of look like black stainless, the grain on the steel somehow is visible like black stainless. It is generally darker than the black stainless though. The other difference is, if you do scratch the matt black, you can in theory buy replacement panels, the same color or a different color. If you scratch the black stainless you are stuck.
