The pitcher uses gravity to stop filling, tilting forward with the weight of the water and activating a sensor to stop filling. If your fridge isn't leveled properly, this can cause it to happen too early. Be sure the fridge is perfectly level side to side. Then be sure it has a slight tilt backwards (for safety reasons). If you don't know how to level the fridge, check your manual it has good instructions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I got the refrigerator replaced with a different one and no longer have this problem. Not sure if it was an improper installation that was done, or a defect in the refrigerator itself.
