Hi there, Yes, it does. An alarm will sound and the alarm indicator will blink if the door is left open for more than 2 minutes. You can toggle on and off by pressing "Door Alarm." It's enabled by factory default. If the door is left open for 5 minutes, the interior light (in the fridge, freezer) will blink for 5 minutes and turn off. It is to alert deaf and hard-of-hearing users that a door is open. Note that this function is normal. Have a great day! Chrystel
