A:Answer No it doesn't. I have used this on several computers ranging in years makes and models including printers and scanners. the only word to the wise would be that the end piece that is used as the converter and the cap if used frequently will start to lose their grip and will not stay on or in place after repeated use. I use my SanDisk more because it slides one way for USB 3.1 and the other way for USB-C, there are less parts to lose..... but you have to hold the switch when plugging it in because the latch isn't that strong and it may close on you. But I like the Samsung device, I just use it for backup and transfer and not everyday use since I started having problems with the attachments falling off. I also keep my Kingston on my work keychain just in case I need to save something on the go. It's small and compact but the cover does pop open sometimes, but the good news is that it is attached so you don't lose it!
