• I just read the Samsung site for cleaning the stove, including the top. No, it is not recommended that anything cast iron be cleaned in the dishwasher.

• The grates are heavy duty cast iron. I've always hand washed & air dried mine But I think they would be ok in a dishwasher if not touching each other.
