I have used a Kenmore glass top surface at my beach home with cast iron for 16 years. I have a GE Profile slide in glass top that I have used for 20 years with cast iron every day. My daughter has a 2 year old LG glass top that she uses cast iron every day. I have just purchased this Samsung Flex Duo in Black stainless as an entire kitchen set for my new home under construction. I will be Sorely Disappointed if I cannot use my 100 year old grandmother's Cast Iron, passed on by my mother to me and that I have used these past 44 years. When I feared at my first glass top, the GE Profile, the large salesman picked up a ten quart steel pan and surprisingly slammed it on the surface which convinced me I had no fear. Now- after all these years, surely the Best Rated Appliance is not of lesser quality than that low end of the line 20 years ago????
