“Why do the cases for the Samsung Galaxy a71 5g UW, that specifically state that they do not fit the Verizon model, not fit the Verizon model?!?!?!? I can't imagine that Samsung makes a different model of this phone for each different cell companies!”

I read a bunch of A71 case reviews on Amazon, and 1 mentioned that he tried the case on his Verizon A71 and the buttons on the side were in a slightly different place so you can't push them with the case on. Pretty annoying.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Apparently, from what I have read, Verizon 5G mmWave technology is different than other companies' 5g technology. This requires different antenae and modems in the phone. So, they have to move some of the buttons to accomodate the other 5g hardware. Thus, a different case is needed. You can do a search to find out more details if you are interested.

Samsung then made a 3rd variant but called this UW So recap Samsung A71 Samsung A71 5g Samsung A71 5g UW (Verizon only)* * Very hard to find a case. When searching using the exact name of the Verizon one, I could only find five options searching on Google and Amazon. Read before hitting the buy button. Most sellers will tell you NOT FOR A71 UW VERIZON. great little phone for the price. Fingerprint is an epic failure but everything else is great. Bright and great screen, very responsive, responds pretty fast for a budget phone
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I found one on Amazon that worked but I liked the LifeProof case I had on my S7 better as far as robustness. The case I got will do though. It has a separate glass cover that you stick to your screen and a case that you press the phone into.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think it has something to do with the 5g millimeter wave that Verizon uses. Cases have to be made to allow it to properly reach the phone? It is pretty easy to block it so perhaps this is why.

Please try again later.Coming from someone who actually owns an A71 5G UW... hardware is different because Verizon has proprietary hardware put into the phone (honestly their 5G is garbage anyway because you have to be so close to the access point for it to even work). Insult to injury is that because these are only sold in the US and strictly on one network the cases are harder to find (you cannot walk into a Verizon store to get a case, you must special order one and there are only 5 options, all of which fall apart in about a year if your phone is subjected to heavy punishment like mine is). EVEN WORSE, IF YOU BUY IT UNLOCKED YOURE ALSO LOCKED INTO BUYING THE VERIZON MODEL PHONE CASE, AS IS MY CASE SINCE I BOUGHT UNLOCKED FROM BEST BUY. The pros kind of make it worth it, as I also have a Galaxy Tab S6 that has a similar chipset and I know all my stuff will work between the two (minus my S-Pen).
