Yes, there is fault with the Galaxy Pros (360, and regular I and II). The cover is thin and flimsy and shifts. On one hand it's why it's so light, on another- it causes the screen to break without any drops or outside pressure. Warranty conveniently excludes this issue. There is only one repair center in the US and they charge shipping and want 2/3 of the price of the laptop for the screen. I bought into the thinness, and now lost $1200 on a useless product.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have had mine less than a month and found a crack in my screen just this morning.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is my second Samsung notebook and both screens cracked. I don't even know how it cracked. So frustrating. I will never buy another Samsung product; twice bit. If you do, you must treat it with tender care making sure that nothing at all pushes against it because with just a little pressure, it will crack. So don't put anything in the case with it and get a hard-shell case.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.2 days before the warranty ends..Laptop screen on Samsung Galaxy Pro book 2 360 has cracked spontaneously. Support simply states "The Samsung limited warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship encountered in intended use of the product and shall not cover the physical damage including damage caused by accident, abuse, or misuse of the product." The crack itself was not caused by accident, abuse, or misuse of the products and the product was used as intended. Support must then create a ticket for an authorized service technician to "diagnose the issue" for repair. If there is no local authorized service center then the laptop needs to be mailed with insurance coverage provided by consumer for additional physical damage protection and Samsung denies responsibility if any further damages occur during transit. If the issue is deemed the result of physical damage then the repair is not covered by warranty. The screen cracking seems to be a known issue amongst other Samsung ProBook 360 owners. I will attempt to take my laptop to an authorized service center if there is one local and hopefully they determine it as a defect in workmanship and material, but judging by the numerous complaints which led me to this submission form, Samsung is seeming to take no responsibility in manufacturing defects in the materials and workmanship and placing the repair cost on the consumer when it should be covered under warranty. It seems this is an increasingly growing issue and there may be some legal push for Samsung to be held accountable. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has to do, I think, with poor materials engineering. Uneven heating causes expansion stress which the bonded glass can't take. (Hold a lighter in the middle of a pane of window glass for a minute, and see what happens. Same effect.). I'm surprised to hear that the recent model being shipped hasn't corrected for this problem. I'm sure their R&D department has a solution and is just itching to get it into the pipeline, but evidently it's more expensive to re-tool, (even in today's modern manufacturing age), than it is to just build through and sell the existing design and make it difficult for customers to force a warranty repair than it is to actually correct the issue. -A few users report success, but they have to escalate and call for managers and generally raise a real stink, otherwise the repair cost is passed on to them at $400 USD. Really scummy. Avoid this model, I say. I'm sticking with the old Notebook 9 Pro 15. It's still a great machine today and the screen doesn't spontaneously break.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.AVOID THIS LAPTOP!!! Best Buy should stop selling it! I’ve had a number of Lap tops over the years and never cracked a screen. The screen cracks easily under normal use…. Buyer beware! Replacement cost is over $700.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes the screen crack very easily and if purchased from Samsung it's $500 to fix - you'll want to ask Best Buy about if they have some sort of accidental warranty
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought this for my 12 year old a few months ago and it is still fine. It has a really thin screen and I understand how it can get broken if abused. As long as you are careful, keep it in a padded case when you are on the move, it should be ok.
