Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Safelink and Tracfone are not compatible. Some people have used Tracfone refill cards with Safelink phones with limited success, but the extra minutes from the Tracfone refill card disappeared when more Safelink minutes were added. There are completely separate refill cards for Tracfone and Safelink. Therefore, I do not believe that a Tracfone phone will work on a Safelink system. Additionally, a representative from the company already answered saying that a Tracfone phone will not be compatible with Safelink. I am giving this extra detail of experience that one of my friends had a few years ago with her Safelink phone. More recently a different friend who has a Safelink phone does get Safelink refill cards when she needs them. The Safelink refill cards May Not Be Available at many stores that have Tracfone refill cards. My friend found Safelink refill cards at a Walmart and I saw Safelink cards at a CVS. Some other places may also offer Safelink refill cards, and I have no idea if all of the stores in a chain of stores will carry the Safelink refill cards or if a particular store will continue to carry them. On the Tracfone phones I've had, refill minutes can be bought from the phone itself using a credit or debit card. I don't know if that would be an option for Safelink phones or not. Maybe Safelink Customer Servive could help if the option to buy airtime isn't seen on the phone. The friend who used the Safelink refill cards later told me that there was an offer available for Safelink customers to pay a fairly small amount (it was Less Than $20 a month in 2018 or 2017 when she told me about it) to get more service (maybe unlimited service for some or all service but I don't remember for sure if that was for calls or text or internet) for each month that that particular plan is paid. It seems like it might be something a person could sign up for that a person may possibly be able to set up an automatic recurring payment every month. A person may be able to pay each month as needed. I don't know the detail of that. It sounded to me like possibly the best offer for people who frequently use more minutes than they receive each month. I know that there are different options for government provided minutes so there may be different offers to add more minutes or maybe unlimited directly to a Safelink phone. I recommend looking on the internet or calling customer service to find out what is available and what cards are accepted for payment of any recurring or one time purchase from the Safelink phone, if that is available, or maybe there is an option to purchase minutes or an add-on plan for your Safelink phone by using a Safelink internet site on the internet. You may want to search or ask what stores Safelink refill cards are available for sale. If customer service doesn't have that information, you may want to search on the internet or call stores that offer other refill cards and ask if they carry Safelink refill cards. Be sure to double check that they are talking about Safelink refill cards and Not Tracfone refill cards if the store employee says that they do carry Safelink refill cards at their store location. Also an idea is to ask if they have the refill cards in stock before making a trip, unless you plan to shop there for other items too. I hope you're able to get a Safelink phone and plan (or combination of plans, both provided for you and added by you) that suits your needs.
