You can take an unlocked phone to any carrier to be connected.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Means that it is not tied to a carrier. So you can enable it to work on any carrier worldwide that uses the same communication standard.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unlocked means it not locked in to use only with one specific wireless provider (such as ATT, Verizon or TracFone). However, this is a phone that uses GSM technology so it can only be used on wireless networks that also use GSM. In the USA the two main companies using GSM are ATT and T-Mobile. However, many of the pay as you go companies, such as TracFone, don't operate their own wireless networks and instead contract with multiple companies (e.g., ATT, Version, T-Mobile, etc.) to provide the actual wireless communications. Bottom line is you must get a sim card that plugs into this unlocked phone to allow it to work and be activated on the specific wireless network you will be using and since this is a GSM phone, the wireless network must also use GSM. For example the TracFone "Bring Your Own Phone" (BYOP) option allows you to purchase a kit that includes sim cards for allowing you to use a unlocked phone on ATT or Verizon or T-Mobile network. For this Samsung Galaxy J3 unlocked phone the ATT sim or the T-Mobile sim could be used (but not the Verizon sim since it requires an unlocked phone using CDMA technology instead of GSM).
