Q: QuestionIf I buy s10e unlocked and not activated will I be able to put my nano sim card from a Verizon plan Into the phone and use it right away? Is activation just a current working sim card?

• A:Answer Yes you can use your current sim card. You will still have to either log into your account at verizon.com or call to have it activated on that line though. Verizon doesn't work like most other carriers where you can just pop in your sim card. It's still a fairly easy process. I just did it with the unlocked S10e on my Verizon line.

• A:Answer “Unlocked” doesn’t refer to new vs. refurbished or anything like that. It means that the phone does not come “locked” to one of the cell service providers (Verizon, Sprint, etc.). You are buying just the phone, no cellular service included. You have to link the phone to your provider (assuming you have one) to get service. Best Buy can do this, typically at the time you buy the phone. I bought a Samsung Galaxy S10e in early May at Best Buy, and they linked it to my Verizon account before I left the store. • A:Answer There will be no verizon logo on the phone at all. not the start up, not etched into the glass, nothing. as for basic apps you will need to install them after you turn on the phone, from the play store. Most are available in the play store. Visual voicemail is not, but the samsung voicemail app will connect to verizon. one other thing to note is that Video calling from the dialer (LTE video calling verizon calls it) is not available on an unlocked phone. you will have to use Skype or something like that. On the plus side you won't have all of verizons bloatware installed and can uninstall most everything that you don't want.

• A:Answer If your SIM card is GSM you can use it with no problem, I take my 10e to Vietnam and put a Vietnamese SIM card in and ready to go. Activation today means you are getting it with ATT Sprint or Verizon and will use it on there network. You need to get the unlocked one without activation today.

• A:Answer Yes it will support it as long as your carrier does. You need to register an emergency address with the carrier to enable it. I have Mint mobile and activated it without issue.

Q: QuestionMy Verizon contract is up so can I switch to an unlocked Samsung S10e, purchase a Verizon sim card and keep my same phone number ? Also, I would like to have unlimited text and call and at least 15 gigs of internet data. Is that possible ?

• A:Answer I just switched my phone from a locked one to this unlocked S10e. You will not have any issues with keeping your same number. As far as plans, you will need to contact customer support with Verizon to determine if you wish to stay with them or find another carrier. This phone is universally unlocked, so it can be used with any available carriers including prepaid ones. Good luck!

• A:Answer “With activation” means you have to link the phone to a cellular service provider at the time of purchase. You would need to do that anyway to be able to use the phone. As to your particular “prepaid service,” you’d need to check with them (FAQ at website, maybe) to make sure that you can bring over an unlocked phone.
