“Will the US version of this phone work internationally? Meaning, if I use a US carrier sim it will work in the USA and if I use a sim from a european country will the phone work there too? Thank you!”

Yes, but ONLY If you buy the unlocked version from Samsung, not from a carrier like VZW or ATT, AND you get a sim card from a foreign carrier using the same wireless technology. (you can get the big boys to unlock the phone, but if I'm paying full price for the phone then why would I buy their branded, crippled phone full of their bloatware?) This is what I usually do when I travel. But It's always best to read up on the country your going to visit. For instance in Japan you can only use DATA ONLY sim cards. You can't get a phone number without a Japanese address. Worked fine for me. And in China it was actually slightly more cost effective to just activate international roaming and pay the daily fee to use my regular plan. Get an unlocked phone, but still do your research.
