As long as there are other Samsung users in the vicinity of the tag, you will be able to get an approximate idea of the tag's location. Samsung devices anonymously detect the Samsung smarttags and will send its approximate location to you. If you go to that area, your device will be able to more accurately pinpoint the smarttag's location.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I read if another Samsung device is near it will just create a "chain" to let you know where it was. In theroy 100 miles should work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi there Bless, thank you for your question about the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2. You can absolutely track your keys or anything you have tagged from that distance. You would get the location in your SmartThings App and then be able to get closer to the item. Once in range you would get directions to the item or you would be able to have the device make a noise to help you locate with ease. Thank you for being a Samsung customer. -Elizabeth
