Please try again later.tl;dr - both narrower and taller Gail, I had a similar concern as I was replacing a Samsung Tab 2 (8" - 2015 version) - it still works though the battery life is limited and the Android version hasn't been updated since 7 (current version is 11). The Tab A7 Lite is narrower and taller (pic attached) - it's also a bit heavier and while the screen (TFT, 800 x 1340 - 5:3 has a lower quality than the Tab 2 (Super AMOLED, 1536 x 2048 - 4:3), I don't notice the difference. Note that Netflix will play vids in lower resolution. If you're going to purchase a Tab 7 Lite, I highly recommend paying the extra amount for the 64GB version as it has additional RAM (3GB in the 64 vs 2GB in the 32) and it will help the tablet be more responsive and allow more apps to be open
