The keyboard never needs charging. It is magnetized and that's how it attaches to the S9 Samsung tablet and there is no need for charging or Bluetooth connection.

There are three small electrodes on the keyboard that connect to the tablet, thereby giving it power. This is actually preferred to charging as when closed, it does not drain the tablet as no power is being used.
