A:Answer No. Just like buying a mobile phone, any tablet that references a specific carrier means it is locked. You can risk unlocking it by some hacks out there, but from what I've read, you don't want to do that unless you like spending a large amount of money on a large useless tablet as a coffee table prop (or in the case of a bricked smart phone, a home office desk paper weight).
