My Verizon rep told me it was only an extra $5 a month. That's worth allowing me to be able to forward all my emails and texts to the watch and I can leave my phone at home when I want, plus get all the other added features the watch offers. That will be great when you go somewhere like running, a concert, sporting event, boating, amusement park, etc. I was originally going to just go with the Bluetooth model but if I'm going to spend that much money, I decided to invest a little more and get the most bang for my buck!
