What you want/need to do is go to AT&T and buy a "eSim" for $5.00 - the new "eSim" will replace the one that's on the box, I'm not sure why but AT&T didn't/doesn't recognize the one that comes with it. Have AT&T attach that "eSim" simcard # onto your watch cell number. Then go to your Gear app and you should now be able to "Number Sync" your phone and watch quite easily. This is what I had to do to activate mine and it literally took minutes to set it up and it's been working fantastic since!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't think the watch and phone can actually use the same number. I'm with Tmobile and the watch and phone also have different numbers. However, I can receive calls, texts, notifications, etc... that go to my phone number on my watch via what Tmobile calls Digits. Since the watch has it's own LTE cellular connection, I can leave the phone in the car or at home as I am not tied to it via Bluetooth. Plus, I can receive calls or whatever on my watch to it's own unique number.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This simply is not true. You more than likely did not go to a corporate store to do this. I bought mine at Best Buy, and went to the AT&T store we usually use. They could not get it it sync to my phone or even activate the LTE on the network. After about 3 hours of trying the same thing over and over, the girl looks at me and says, "You should try the corporate store, I don't know how to do this." Find an AT&T corporate store, and go there. Upon arrival, gentleman knew exactly what to do (it involved a virtual sim card or something) and within 30 mins, everything worked. Call the AT&T stores near you and ask them if they're a franchise or a corporate store.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Both the phone and watch will have a different number but through the Galaxy Watch App. it will Snc, A representative's at T mobile helped me, My Watch was brought from Best Buy too.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the samd problem, they told me because my galaxy not 10+ is unlocked,so It can't be synced to watch . They said as long as it s not from at&t, I cant have a synced smartwatch:(((
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. So I have a T-Mobile phones I have T-Mobile service they promised me I could bring my Verizon gear3 classic watch over. Well that's not true because T-Mobile uses a 19 digit iccd instead of an 20 digit like Verizon. AT&T promised me that they can do standalone service for $10 but now they're saying that I have to bring a phone over. On top of that AT&T just sent me a physical SIM card when my takes a Sim. Nobody seems to know they're talking about. does anybody have T-Mobile service with a cell phone in the AT&T standalone service for Gear 3 classic with a Esim with a 20 digit iccd number
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.actually all of you are wrong galaxy watches do not run on cell numbers they run on your data that is why you have to ask and or purchase an Esim card now i admit I am not an owner of a smart watch yet. However I am an owner of a Samsumg S20 and as I was about to activate the second line to my phone I found an esim card in the box for a wearable and I called ATT 3 times on the 3rd call I actually talked to someone who knew what they were doing and they answered this question for me as I would like to get a smart watch and wanted the details up front. So again your phone and watch will run on the same number but your watch runs on the Data part of your cell phone plan so those of you who have different numbers I agree with the others by saying go to a corporate store or the bigger franchise in your area they always know more than the small ones hope this helps.
