I did this with a Galaxy watch before and Samsung refused to repair/replace the watch as it was "Damaged by water"... and that's not covered! Despite Samsung's advertising of the guy swimming in the pool, their watches are not, I repeat, NOT designed for swimming laps, taking a dip in the ocean, or even showering. I hope this helps, and please google Samsung Watch water damage from swimming, and you see.

The Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro is water resistant for up to 30 minutes in up to 5 feet of water and has an IP68 rating. Before you go swimming, make sure you turn on Water lock mode to prevent accidental touches on your screen. It will also prevent you from accidentally activating your watch with a wake-up gesture while you're swimming. To turn on Water lock mode from Quick settings; tap to put the watch in Water lock mode. You can also enable Water lock mode from the Settings menu. From Settings, tap Advanced features > Water lock. Tap to enable. If you would like additional instructions, please feel free to review "Use Water lock mode to swim with your Samsung smart watch." Please feel free to reach out to Samsung Support if you have any additional questions for us. Thank you for being a staunch Samsung customer. - Debra

If a watch has an IP68 water resistance, this means that it is both dust tight, and can withstand being fully submersed into water over a meter deep.
