Hi Rob, thank you for your question about the Samsung Galaxy Watch6. This device comes in two different variations, one that is Bluetooth that would need to be within range of your cellular device to have the full functionality and notifications. The other is LTE and would have it's own data plan that would be charged monthly and could be away from your cellular device while still having all of the features available to you.
