- Answer For the money, the Samsung VR is best case scenario. There are more expensive options of course if you get the Oculus. But for the money, experience and variety of apps through the various google and samsung related services you are good to go. I shopped many months and compared all.

- Answer Yes, the Gear VR comes with an adapter so that it can accept a USB-C phone like the S9 or a micro-USB phone like the S7. The phone holder also adjusts so that it can accept regular S and S+ model phones.

- Answer You can really hook up anything to it. Download virtual reality apps on your Ipod, and put it in there. It will work, but you can't hook up the controller set and such. I wouldn't spend the money on it for an Ipod.
