The refurb drives have limited write usage prior to being sold as refurbs. if you read the reviews, folks note how the refurb drive they purchased came with little usage - but not zero usage as these are refurb. Ssd life varies depending on the brand and type and other factors, hence the variance in price and make and so forth. All that being said, we’re talking A LOT of usage to exhaust an ssd, like the scale is years of heavy, multiple tbs of usage of writing not reading.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From what I understand, these are drives that the "Geek Squad" used to transfer files when working on computers. I one I bought only had 29 hrs on it and tested perfect. they should call them "slightly used" drives! LOL!

Then someone at Best Buy, Samsung, or another company checked the drive for working condition and put it in a box and Best Buy sells it for less. I have purchased several of these and most had less than 10 hours of usage on them with the original box. They are a good buy for a quality drive and saving some money. Now I know I can buy a brand new drive from another manufacturer but I have been very happy with the Samsung quality.
